Man jailed after unreasnable Facebook post‏

A young man has been jailed after stupidly bragging about the number of arrest warrants he had on Facebook.

Eddie Smith, 22, of Mineral Wells, Texas, US, posted: ‘So, I have 16 warrants out right now. Lol they know where I’m at tho so, it must not be TOO bad.’
The comment was reported to police who, later that day, tracked down an address and paid him a visit.

It emerged that Mr Smith was wanted over a number of incidents – some dating back three years ago – from petty theft to traffic violations, report Star Telegram.
He was ordered to pay $1,200 (£800) in fines but was ordered to serve 51 days in Palo Pinto County Jail by a municipal judge after he was unable to pay.
Detective Nick Wells is quoted as saying: ‘We got to digging, came up with a good address and we went out and paid him a visit.
‘It’s one of those things where you can poke fun at a lot of things. Don’t poke fun at us. We’ll take care of it.’
Police chief Dean Sullivan said his department welcomes such bragging on Facebook.
